Grading Plans

Producing grading plans,  rough grading, precise grading, setting pad and finish floor elevations to balance a site’s earthwork quantities to the greatest extent possible, is a staple for our staff. Incorporation of client input in a project site’s grading layout is always encompassed within our designs. Our staff has extensive experience and skills in the design of mass grading for subdivisions to grading design of single family lots, and anything in between.

Public Improvement Plans

Public Improvements can and very often become a major function of private development.  Improving frontage public streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and parkways frequently become required by a given municipality for private development. The engineers of KMLT have over a decade of combined experience putting together public improvement plans for private and public improvement projects  within the County of San Diego.  These Improvement plans consisting of street grading, storm drainage, storm water quality treatment, public and private sewer and water design, can be produced by KMLT engineering staff for smaller single family residential projects to multi lot communal developments. Given the different project constraints and conditions required by city, district, and/or county, we can promptly prepare the plans required to obtain your public right of way permit.

Preliminary Grading Plans

If your project is in earlier stages of design development and you are looking for a rough grading design with more schematic direction on site improvements and drainage, our staff at KMLT engineering can provide you with the necessary preliminary grading plans required for City or County approval.  These plans can be stand alone, or incorporated in a concurrent submission with a project's Tentative Parcel Map, which can also be prepared by our office.

Construction Plans

Construction of standard driveway, driveway infills, curb, gutter, and sidewalk removal and replacement, sewer laterals, water services and meters, and other minor improvements requiring a right of way permit, require a city Standard Construction Plan. The engineers of KMLT have put together countless construction plans that have been approved for Right of Way permits over the past decade. We can get these done quickly and at lower costs than our competitors.
